This tutu is the final piece from my Destruction of Nature project and has been inspired from the embroidery instillation artist Nava Lubelski. To create the print, I digitally edited floral imagery to look damaged and printed this onto a silk-like fabric to embroider into. I stitched layers of burnt newspaper into holes in the fabric to create an interesting surface texture and show how the burning of materials causes destruction of nature.
